Supporting Our Community

Over the years Knowle Male Voice Choir has raised and donated thousands of pounds to many charities and good causes. This money is raised when the choir holds concerts during the year. We are proud to help so many in our community and at times throughout the world.

A unique concert raises money in aid of Ukraine

Featuring Knowle Male Voice Choir, Kol Kinor Choir and The Kataklezmics

From the concert in November 2022 a total of £2,500 was raised, which the World Jewish Relief charity will share amongst causes helping people in Ukraine. This includes the charitable work led by Knowle resident Nick Wormald, who has embarked on several visits to Uzhhorod in Ukraine to take food and essentials, as well as supporting the opening of the 'Learning Without Borders School' in Budapest, which provides education and meals for Ukrainian refugee children, and jobs for Ukrainian teachers.

Local Care Charity, The Family Care Trust

Our annual concert with Saint Alphege Children's Choir in July 2022 raised money for local care charity, The Family Care Trust. We presented Jade with a cheque for £1000 to support their work. The trust offers a wide variety of services across Solihull supporting vulnerable adults in a variety of different ways.

Entertaining in our care homes

Each year we visit a number of our local care and nursing homes delivering short concerts and carol singing and quite a few singalongs!
